Do you feel as if you have enough time? How about enough money? If you're like most of us, your answers are a resounding no. Technology doesn't help either! Suddenly, owning a smart phone means that you have to be accessible 24/7/365. If an email takes more than a minute to download, we immediately are put-out and our anxiety peaks. Heaven forbid
that we take an hour to respond to a text or return a call without people thinking we are inconsiderate. Keeping up with it all is utterly exhausting!
Surely there's a reasonable explanation as to why everything is so important all of a sudden. Is it that we are becoming more aware of our mortality that we must try to squeeze everything into our busy lives? Could it be that we think that by maxing out our calendar we will somehow become wealthy?
Let's analyze the basis of what we consider to be enough. By definition, enough is as much as necessary. But what is necessary? The difference between a dream and a goal is that a goal has steps. Many of us have the dream to become financially free, but we continue to push ourselves deeper into debt because we lack the necessary steps or resources to get ourselves out of debt, let alone steps towards our freedom...until now.
Slow down. Before you shout from the mountain tops that MoneyWise is the best financial software in the world, you need to make sure you have reversed engineered your goals so they have steps. Being busy isn't necessarily being productive. Figure out how much time is enough to perform those steps. Once you've determined how much is enough, then you will find freedom.
Time IS money, are you wasting time or making time?
